House of the Flying Tiles by Daniel Moreno Flores in Pifo, Ecuador, transforms a roof into the essence of a country house through hanging recycled tiles, recovered wood, trees, light, mountain views, and a playful spatial experience shaped by reuse and imagination.

Nueva Esperanza School by Al Borde in Puerto Cabuyal, Ecuador, transforms local materials, community labor, and active learning into a small rural school where architecture becomes a tool for education, identity, and social transformation.

Amid this fragile situation, an intervention emerged that, beyond addressing the housing emergency, explored the role of architecture as an engine for social reconstruction and rebuilding. Built in just ten days in the province of El Oro, the Chacras project—this 30m² house—became a refuge and starting point for Don Velfor and his family, who found in this new space not only a roof over their heads, but also the opportunity to rebuild bonds, a sense of belonging, and hope.
